Literature Text

The snowy fog faded and the Frisky Buneary continued on the pathway to find pine trees around. He saw the snow stop and he noticed he was next to a river. There was no more snow and instead he saw a few tiny waterfalls from afar and the river sharply turned away from his left. He still continued on and found Watson next to a waterfall in the ground. “Yo! Are you gonna fight her soon! That’ll be AWESOME! She looks great as Undyne! So glad I skipped Mom’s training to be in this game!” He thought about what Watson said and thought ‘Me too.’ He saw a twinkle for his progress next to a business stand, but he went to a turquoise plant next to it he remembered being called an ‘Echo Flower.’ It’s supposed to say the last thing it heard, but it was strangely silent. He then went to the twinkle and saved his progress.

(That comedian…) LV 48, Waterfall – Checkpoint

That wasn’t what he expected. It was supposed to say how many he has to FIGHT in order to move on the next Boss character. He grew suspicious as to what’s going to happen from this point on. He still expected later FIGHTS, but he could feel this Route will be different from the game. Playing it from a computer or watching others play is one thing, but like he remembered Vincent saying, ‘They went through all this trouble to parody an awesome game.’ He wasn’t sure what will be different, but he was ready. More than the Bosses he’ll face, he has determination.

He walked past the business stand and found a thin bridge to his right and a sign written by a Box Hater. There was also a Box next to it which he decided not to use just yet. He took the thin bridge and found a pathway which went into a square, then a short way to an Echo Flower. It said to him ‘I swore I saw something… Behind that rushing water…’ and made him notice the wide waterfall next to the squared bridge. He walked over and found a camera just like the one from the bush when he exited the RUINS. He already figured who could be watching him and walked off the bridge to continue his way. He walked through a shallow stream of water which was making the waterfall below covering the camera.

He noticed there was less light to see with as he walked on, but he could still see a patch of long grass a few feet way. He figured out where this point is and walked in the grass. He stopped midway once he noticed a armored figure with fire on the helmet from a distance. He tried to walk slowly, but on the first step, the figure heard him and took a few steps towards the grass he was in. The armored character made a turquoise spear with their left hand and was ready to throw, but they waited for something or someone to move in the grass. He stayed as still as possible, so they saw nothing and dissembled their spear. The character retreated into the darkness behind them and he felt safe to come out once he couldn’t feel anyone eyeing him anymore. Once he did, he saw the same amount of light and he forgot Monster Kid was supposed to hide with him, just like in the game.

Watson ran out of the grass and jumped around in excitement, “Yo! Did you see the way she stared at you? That was AWESOME! She is so ready to play her part! I can’t wait for the FIGHT!” Watson ran off past the twinkle nearby, but not before he fell to his face and got back up. With Watson taking off, he went to the twinkle to save his progress.

(That comedian…) LV 48, Waterfall – Hallway

He still wondered what was going on with that, but he knew he’ll get the answer in time, but for now, he walked on and found a turquoise-glowing scripture on the wall to his left. It said ‘When 4 Bridge Seeds align in the water, they will sprout.’ However, when he walked on, he did find 4 unused Bridge Seeds, but there was already a sprouted bridge in the small but deep waterfall he had to cross to proceed.

He crossed the bridge and made it to another tiny bridge over the water which was wooden and built. He found 4 patches of glowing mushrooms and more unused Bridge seeds which he didn’t need to proceed to the tunnel across the water. Before he entered the tunnel, he got into a FIGHT encounter, which he honestly didn’t expect after what he saw from his saving his progress, but then he remembered its (Determination) that tells him he’s turned as many to dust as he needs.

It was Napoleon the Floatzel with the text below him reading ‘Aaron flexes in!’ Napoleon had a stubborn look on his face as he tried to scare him with his size. The Fight option was made and he used Jump Kick to take out more than half of Napoleon’s HP. He responded with ‘If she’s gonna fight you, what makes you think I’ll run.’ Napoleon attacked with his flexing muscular arms, but all of them were dodged. The finishing text read ‘Smells like a mussel farm.’ The Fight option was used to finish off Napoleon, earning him 25 Gold and reaching LV 50.

He entered the tunnel and saw 2 Echo Flowers, both of which were silent, and a glowing scripture on the wall. He didn’t need to read it though and just turned right to continue his way. He walked by 2 more silent Echo Flowers and a telescope which pointed at the roof, remembering he in the Underground. There was one more Echo Flower a little farther, but he ignored it and went through a small path to an entrance not much of a walk from the telescope.

He came to a large bridge which mostly directed to his right and had 5 scriptures on the nearby wall, none of which he bothered to read as he crossed. He stopped at a square of wood in the dark water and used it to get to the rest of the pathway he needs to take. He made it to another bridge and crossed it as the wood square went back to the last bridge by itself.

The lighting around him got dark all of a sudden. He walked on, knowing what to expect. He walked until he was stopped by a turquoise spear which was thrown at him. He looked around for who threw that, and he found the armored figure from before. She was ready to throw more and he ran off to avoid them. There were a bunch of turns and curls in the bridge, making it hard to dodge them all. He ended up getting hit by 2 of them and lost 16 HP. He made it to a small field of long grass and he safely avoided her spears at that point. This time she just walked into the grass like he did and felt around until she got something and punched at it. Whatever it was stuck to her fist and picked it up to see if it was him, but it wasn’t. She accidentally punched Watson in the eyeball and put him down so she’ll get her target next time. Her helmet covered any guilt she could’ve felt from punching a child.

She walked away and both he and Watson walked out from the other side of the grass. Watson didn’t seem like he was hurt as he jumped around in oblivious joy like before, “Yo! You almost got creamed! Good thing Monster Kid has the toughest face.” He looked to Watson like he just heard gibberish, “I’m serious. Did you notice how often he fell on his face? And he’s totally fine… well that or he’s just used to getting black eyes. Anyway, we’ll see her again soon.” Watson fell on his face again before running off in the distance.

He followed Watson’s path and came to an Echo Flower, which was silent like usual for this Route, a twinkle, and a slice of cheese which was stuck to the table by crystallization. The crystal surrounding it was magenta, and he used the twinkle to save his progress and heal a little.

(Determination) LV 50, Waterall – Crystal

He walked on his path and came to an odd-looking telescope which would’ve put red around his eye if used it. A few steps away was a Box which used to remind ‘himself’ what he had in stock: 3 Snowman Pieces, a Butterscotch-cinnamon Pie, a Spider Donut, a Tough Glove and a Faded Ribbon. He was wearing the Manly Bandanna, he got rid of his Stick, he never got a Bandage, he didn’t pick up the Toy Knife, he used all his Monster Candies and everything he had on him were all Cinnamon Buns, but he still felt like he was forgetting something.

He thought a bit on this, and then realized he had 7 Cinnamon Buns. He remembered he could only carry 8 Items at a time and purposely got 7. He remembered what he was supposed to get, but he couldn’t remember where. He thought on this too until he figured it out.

He walked back to where he came from and decided to walk all the way back to the area with the Bridge Seeds. While he walked back, at some point, he was sure he a flower watching him from a distance. He wasn’t sure since he only got a glimpse, but he was sure it might’ve been Edna who he remembered is portraying Flowey. He didn’t think on it since he knows it’s not important right now. For the moment, he was heading back to the sprouted bridge.

Once he got there, he used the fresh Bridge Seeds to get to a secret room he remembered there’s supposed to be. He crossed it and got onto a wooden bridge which led him to a bench and an Echo Flower, which said to him ‘I just wasn’t ready for the responsibility.’ He had a guess on who spoke to the Echo Flower, but for now, he checked under the bench for what he came for and found the Abandoned Quiche, which was a Healing Item at 34 HP. He carried his Max. 8 Items and crossed the sprouted bridge back to his original path.

Before he walked past the 2 twinkles for his progress, he got a FIGHT encounter where the text said ‘But nobody came.’ He was wondering when this would come, but now he knew for sure he won as many encounters as he needed to. He felt ready for what will come and he chuckled a bit to ‘himself.’ He got back to the Box next to the telescope and continued where he left off.

Next to the Box was a tunnel to a room which he went into to find a scripture, 2 patches of glowing mushrooms and an empty box meant for storing Punch Cards. He remembered what and who this room was supposed to have in the other Route, so the scripture wasn’t necessary to read. He walked back out and turned left to see pond water and a small bridge to cross over.

He didn’t walk over it yet and instead walked past it to find a gap of water between pathways. He remembered what was on the other side and knew it would take a travel to get to that point. He was fine with it though since he expected certain things to happen along the Route. He went back to the bridge and walked across.

He made it to a path of dark grass and turned left to a small but wide bridge which led him to 2 Echo Flowers; at this point he didn’t bother to check if they spoke anymore. He found a fork in the path which could have him turn right or go forward. He chose his right one first and crossed another tiny bridge. He walked on until he came across a tiny patch of long grass surrounded by 4 patches of glowing mushrooms.

He looked in the grass a little and found a pair of Ballet Shoes. It was an Attack Item at 7 and he pondered on whether to take it or keep what he had. He didn’t forget that as a Pokémon, he only Held one equip Item at a time. If he took it, it would pair nicely which his Jump Kick move, but if he kept the Manly Bandanna, it would keep his Defense as high as it can get at this point. However, thinking about Defense and the Ballet Shoes made him remember something else. The Ballet Shoes have a Defense counterpart, and when he remembered what they were and where to get them, which did take him a bit of time, he decided it was too far away and he liked the Manly Bandanna better anyway. He decided to leave the Ballet Shoes.

He walked back to the fork in the path and turned right to a pond with a tiny waterfall and another wide but small bridge to cross over. There was a turn before and after the bridge which lead him to another bridge. He walked across that bridge and he turned left to a pathway which led him to an Echo Flower. He stopped checking these plants for speech and continued onto a bridge next to the tiny waterfall and crossed one more bridge before making it to a scripture which he ignored to continue on.

He made it to a body of water with one dark bridge with a right turn he had to get across. He remembered one character he could meet in this certain area, but he can’t if this is the Route he chooses. He just walked on for a while and made it to the next area. He saw a tiny waterfall from afar and a huge circle in the road. He took the side which led him to a scripture, but he got stopped at a corner with a FIGHT encounter.

It was Annie the Smoochum who was sitting on her boyfriend’s head. He didn’t expect him to have evolved, but then he figured it would made sense since Shyren is actually just the head and the rest of her body was a different character. Annie sat on top of Alfred the Magmar and the text below them read ‘Shyren hides in the corner but somehow encounters you anyway.’ He chose the Fight option and attempted to use Jump Kick on Annie. Instead, Alfred took the hit for her and got him down to low HP. He didn’t expect Shyren’s body to do that, but he wasn’t surprised if Rupert or anyone warned them. Annie responded with ‘Alfred!’ before she attacked with Shyren’s music notes. He easily dodged all of them and the text below them read ‘Shyren hums very faintly.’ He chose the Fight option again and finished off Alfred. Annie trembled and responded with ‘…You…’ before attacking with music notes again. He dodged them all again and the finishing text read ‘Shyren’s voice gets raspy.’ He smiled and used the Fight option to finish her off, just like her bigger, stronger life partner. He earned 25 Gold and reached LV 56.

There was a pathway next to the scripture, so he took it and found another scripture to his right, a secret door in the middle and a piano with arrows and writing above to his left. He remembered the piano being a puzzle to open the door, but he also remembered this was completely optional and turned back. He past the scripture at his right and took another pathway which had 2 more scriptures. He stopped bothering to read anymore at this point.

He came across a statue with horns, some lighting and rain which kept dripping all over it. He remembered the importance of this statue to the game, but it was only relevant for first time gamers doing the other, story friendly Route. He walked past it and the umbrellas he would’ve needed for the statue along the way.

As he continued, the rain started and there were giant puddles along the rest of the way with tiny waterfalls from afar. He walked until he came across a certain Shinx wearing Monster Kid’s shirt. “Yo! You can’t hold an umbrella either?” asked Watson with his cute, thumb-less paws, “If you’re walking anyway, I guess I’ll go with you…” Watson came over next to him, “Let’s go!” They continued together until they came to a turn in the pathway to their right. “Man, your fight with her is gonna be sooooooo cool! Good thing this is all just a game! I almost cried back at Snowdin!” He just smiled at Watson’s ignorance and they both continued on.

The current path they took was long, but Watson stopped midway when he caught sight of an Echo Flower which neither of them could get to by walking along, “You know Sherbet… this game were playing… I just can’t help but obsess. The story was so good and your dad’s character… he’s like the coolest skeleton ever. I don’t think anyone’s seen a superpower like his before.” They continued on and stopped at one more turn for Watson to speak, “Although… this Route you’re playing… it was too much for me. I had to quit after Undyne first beat me.”

They exited the caves and met the sight of a beautiful open space with a view of a castle far away. After playing this game over and over, they both still loved the scenery and decided to savor with a slow walk. They still had to enter the next cave looked behind them for just a few more seconds. The underground sky was the best part of this area, at least to them.

They went in and walked by a collection of umbrellas. They stopped after a few more feet to a ledge way too steep for either of them to climb by themselves. Watson let him climb on his shoulders and gave him a boost up to get over. He was going to help Watson up too, but he decided, “I’ll look for another way through. Later!” Watson ran off where they came from, but fell on his face one more time before then.

He continued on until it got a little dark all of a sudden. He walked by a scripture and found a twinkle to save his progress. The area brightened up again before he used it.

(Determination) LV 56, Waterfall – Bridge

He continued past another scripture and came to a long bridge which had another bridge below it. He walked on as the area got darker all of a sudden, even darker than the last time. He recognized this particular shade of dark and continued until he saw a light-turquoise circle in front of him appear. Another appeared far behind to his left and another near behind to his right. 8 more appeared close to him, like they wanted him to stay where he is. Then suddenly, spears came out of each circle and the armored figure from before appeared on the bridge below him.

He ran as fast as he could away from her, and she followed and attacked with more spears. He came to a turn in the bridge which turned into an S pattern, which made the spears a little hard to dodge. He then came to a Z pattern which was no easier to dodge the spears. He got through and made it to the part of the bridge which turned into a kind of labyrinth. He didn’t have a lot of time to think about where to go, but he did know that whether he turned left or right at any point, he had to avoid the turquoise circles. If he got close to one, he has to stay where he is until it’s gone. As he got through the labyrinth, he did get hit one time and lost 8 HP. He ran until he made it to a part of the bridge which was large enough to cover the floor of a large room. That was where it was easiest to dodge her spears. He ran until there was a pathway which turned the bridge thin again. He took it and he couldn’t see her below anymore, but the spears still kept coming. When he stopped at the end of his bridge, so did her spears. He turned back and walked a little bit, knowing she got him cornered. He stopped once he saw her coming. He had nowhere else to run and she used her spears to cut the bridge on his side. She watched him fall below.

--

“I don’t understand. Why is Sherbet doing this?”
“Don’t think about that. Just focus on hacking the game.”
“What about your Pokémon, and Bea’s?”
“They’ll come back if the Route’s aborted.”
“How? He won’t just see the light.”
“Let them handle it. I have faith in-”

--

He woke up on top of a bed of golden flowers. There was a wide waterfall next to him and wooden squares in the water for him to walk on. He checked his belongings before he walked anywhere else: his Manly Bandanna is still equipped and he still had an Abandoned Quiche and 7 Cinnamon Buns, all perfectly fine and untouched by the beach water, which would be normal for this game. He kept it all that way as he walked by 2 garbage piles in the water. He made it to a twinkle on a small floor of wood above the water and used it to save his progress and heal.

(Determination) LV 56, Waterfall – Trash Zone

He found a waterfall just a few feet away and 2 small piles of garbage on the other side, which was in front of a smaller waterfall. He walked past them and turned left to more garbage piles. There was even a bicycle too broken down to use. There was also a cooler with Astro Food he could use, but they were Healing Items which didn’t really Heal as much as his Cinnamon Buns. He already carried as much as he could anyway and walked past the cooler, a scratched Anime DVD in the water and a dummy which looked just like the one Vanilla used to teach him how to Fight or for Mercy. He remembered it looked like a Carnivine and he’s now just realizing why.

Before he could walk on, he felt a presence in the dummy. After a few seconds, it turned yellow and it grew out eyeballs. It shook around, sunk in the water and it came back out in front of him to levitate. “You thought you could just walk away, huh?!” he looked especially Mad for a Dummy, “I don’t think we’ve met before. I’m Derwin the Carnivine, and I’m here to stall your genocide.” He giggled at Derwin as he knows what’s supposed to happen here. “And don’t think I’ll lose my cool and turn vulnerable. I know what’ll happen then.” He widened his eyes at Derwin as he turned red and triggered the FIGHT encounter.

The text below Derwin read ‘Mad Dummy blocks the way!’ Instead of the Fight option, he did the Act option which gave him a choice between Check and Talk. He chose to Check and the text then read ‘MAD DUMMY 7 ATK -40 DEF. Because they’re a ghost, physical attacks will fail.’ He didn’t expect Derwin to defy what’s supposed to happen to his character for this Route, but he didn’t worry due to his Level of Violence, which was adjusted to being a Pokémon. After he Checked Derwin, he responded with ‘Foolish, FOOLISH CHILD!!’ Derwin attacked with tiny dummies which shot fuzzy scribbles from all sides of the field his heart-shaped target was in. He dodged them all and some even hit Derwin himself. He responded to getting hit with ‘OW!! You DUMBASSES! Watch where you aim those stupid things!’ The text below then read ‘Mad Dummy is looking nervous.’ He used this to take a break from the Fight option and used the Act option to Check Derwin for every turn. He responded with ‘I’ll defeat you and stop your MURDERS!’ He attacked with more tiny dummies shooting scribbles and he dodged them all again, some even hitting Derwin again. The finishing text was ‘Smells like a clothing store.’ He did the Act option to Check and Derwin responded with ‘I’ll stop you without your father!’ He attacked with more tiny dummies shooting scribbles again. Derwin still couldn’t hit him, nor could he avoid hitting himself. The finishing text read ‘Mad Dummy is doing an armless ska dance.’ He chose the Act option to Check and Derwin responded with ‘I’ll stand tall as the hero who stopped you!’ This time, he attacked with even more tiny dummies shooting scribbles, a lot more. This time, he managed to hit him twice and take 6 HP. Derwin still hit himself and the finishing text read ‘Mad Dummy is getting cotton all over the dialogue box.’ He chose the Act option to Check and Derwin responded with ‘After I stop you, Sweety will finally want me… I mean… Forget I said that!’ He attacked with tiny dummies which all shot scribbles from behind his target, who dodged them all and some hit Derwin like usual. The finishing text read ‘Mad Dummy glares into a mirror, then turns to you with the same expression.’ He chose the Act option to Check and Derwin responded with ‘I swear I’ll avenge the lives you took!’ This time, Derwin attacked with red-flashing dummies which came right for him, then more dummies shooting scribbles from behind. He dodged them all and some scribbles hit Derwin yet again. The finishing text read ‘Mad Dummy is hopping mad.’ He chose the Act option to Check and Derwin responded with ‘I’ll make you quit you little demon!’ He attacked him with more red-flashing dummies from his left and right and dummies shooting scribbles from behind. He dodged them all and Derwin just can’t dodge his own scribbles. The finishing text read ‘Mad Dummy is getting cotton all over the dialogue box.’ He chose the Act option to Check and Derwin responded with ‘Futile! FUTILE YOU ARE!!’ He attacked him with rows of red-flashing dummies in front a row of dummies shooting scribbles from behind again. He dodged them all and some hit Derwin, which was really getting him angry. The finishing text read ‘Mad Dummy is getting cotton all over the dialogue box.’ He chose the Act option to Check and Derwin responded with ‘Still trying?! Still FOOLISH!!’ Derwin attacked with red-flashing dummies and shooting scribbles one more time before all were dodged and some hit Derwin, making him respond with ‘THAT’S IT! Stupid DUMMIES!’ His target was surrounded by dummies ready to shoot, but before they could he told them ‘I told you to watch where you aim! FAILURES! ALL OF YOU! YOU’RE FIRED!! AND GETTING REPLACED!!’ The dummies retreated and stopped coming from this point on. ‘Now I can REALLY take you out! I don’t need their garbage!’ The finishing text read ‘Mechanical whirrs fill the room.’ He chose the Act option to Check and Derwin responded with ‘DUMMY BOTS! MAGIC MISSILE!’ He attacked with 5 tiny robotic dummies which shot rockets with red circles. They followed their target until the red circles were gone and went in a straight line. He directed some rockets to hit Derwin and the finishing text read ‘Mad Dummy is bossing around its bullets,’ He chose the Act option to Check and Derwin responded with ‘DUMMY BOTS! TRY AGAIN!’ Derwin attacked with dummy bots which came from left, right and behind, and shot at their target. He went in a circle to trick some rockets into hitting Derwin again once the red circles were gone. The finishing text read ‘Mad Dummy is bossing around its bullets.’ He chose the Act option to Check and Derwin responded with ‘DUMMY BOTS! You’re awful???’ He attacked with dummy bots which shot rockets in a wave. One of them did hit him and he lost 3 HP, but he still tricked a few rockets into hitting Derwin. The finishing text then read ‘Mad Dummy is hopping mad.’

He fought the Mad Dummy before, so he knew what would happen if he chose FIGHT, ACT, ITEM or MERCY one more time. However, he’s still playing the worst Route of all, so Ross’s character won’t come to help him this time. This was completely new to him: how is he supposed to beat the Mad Dummy without Napstablook to come at the last second? Is he supposed to just keep trying until he finds a way or he loses? He knows choosing Fight won’t help since Derwin still hasn’t lost any HP from hitting himself. He just couldn’t know what will happen. All he can do is choose Act to Check. He’s about to find out.

Derwin responded with ‘DUMMY BOTS! FINAL ATTACK!’ He was bombarded with rockets and red-flashing dummies coming from all over the place. He did get hit once and lost 3 HP, but Derwin wasn’t done yet. He used rows of dummy bots just one more time and managed to take another 3 HP before of few of their rockets hit him, which made him respond with ‘YES! I’M WINNING!! You can’t hurt me and you only get weaker!’ Derwin then threw a knife at him which he easily dodged. ‘Why…did I throw my only knife? No wait, it doesn’t matter! I still have my strength and even if I can’t beat you, which I can, you’ll have to give up sooner or later! And if you don’t, YOU’LL BE STUCK FIGHTING ME! FOREVER!!!!’ Then out of nowhere, a giant circle of floating petal bullets surrounded Derwin. They all closed in and struck him, which made him break apart like his character. ‘HEY! WHAT THE HELL!’ He put himself back together, but then he got struck by floating petal bullets again. ‘WHO THE F IS DOING THAT?!!’ He put himself back again, but he just got struck with more petal bullets. ‘SHOW YOURSELF! HOW ARE YOU!!’ He put himself back once again, but the petal bullets repeated themselves. ‘YOU BETTER STOP IT RIGHT NOW!!!’ He put himself back again and again, but every time he did, he just kept getting hit by floating petal bullets. ‘I SWEAR I’M GONNA KILL YOU!! WHO THE F ARE YOU!!!’ Soon Derwin got so mad at who was doing that, he made everything slowly turn white. It lasted for a few seconds, but then everything was seen again and he turned into a regular, Carnivine-looking Dummy. His soul fused with his dummy body just like the character he portrayed. The only difference was he could still talk, ‘Oh shit.’ The text below then read ‘Glad Dummy lets you go.’ He stared for a moment, but then he saw his chance and chose the Fight option. He took him out with Jump Kick and gained no Gold or EXP, which was a disappointment after all that.

When the FIGHT ended, he was sure he saw a blur of a certain flower who may have helped him. He figured it could’ve been Edna and walked back to get the Astro Food from the cooler he passed by. He was carrying too much, so he just ate one of his Cinnamon Buns and got the Astro Food then. Each bun Healed 22 HP and the Astro Food Heals 21 HP, so he’s barely losing much from using what he still has 6 more of. Afterwards, he continued his path out of the water and came to a twinkle for him to save his progress.

(Determination) LV 56, Waterfall – Quiet Area

He found 3 large pathways in front of him and a small one to his left which could’ve taken him back to a certain area in the Waterfall, but there was no bridge to get across. He took the large pathway starting from left and found a small and large carpet with fish skeletons. The small one was used as a welcome mat for a widely built house which looked like a piranha’s head. The eyes were windows, which looked like they were angry, and the teeth were the door with no visible door handle. He knocked to see if anyone was home, but there was no one.

He walked back to take the large pathway in the middle. He found 2 tall houses curved away from each other. Each had one window, but the left one was bluish grey and the right was brownish pink. He couldn’t get into the right one, but he could get in the left. He walked in and found no furniture or pictures, but he did find a fridge, an old TV, a computer, and the walls inside had a lot of cracks and a spider web in one corner, which had a flyer for a bake sale. He could see the computer was in front of the back window, but he didn’t look into it and exited.

There was a path on his left from exiting and found a fence which wasn’t keeping anything in or out with 2 giant gaps in the structure. He walked a little further to another fence which had what looked like a tiny race track for small Pokémon. He couldn’t get over the fence, so he just walked back and found a large pathway which turned out the left one from the twinkle. He passed a sign he didn’t want to read and continued on his left to find a tunnel and a Box he could use but chose not to. There was also a pathway against the tunnel but he didn’t take it just yet. He went in the tunnel past the scripture above read as ‘Gerson’s Shop.’

He found Elizabeth the Vespiquen in a tiny cave market kind of deal as she smoked a cigarette. “So you finally came? Vhat a treat, but don’t expect a deescount,” she said with sarcasm. He didn’t want to BUY or SELL, but there were 5 things of interest he could do if he wanted to CHAT: Fate, Threat, Fight, Hero or Exit. He told her he wanted to CHAT. “Really? About vhat?” she questioned. He decided on Fate first and she responded, “I vas told you were turning into a serial murderer, and you’re basically unkeelable in zhis… game you call it? If no one can stop you, ve all die for real. Zhat’s vhat I’m informed is our fate, unless your fazher can beat you. I vas also told his character is strongest.” He then chose Threat and she responded with a huge blow of smoke to his face, “You cannot keel me child. You can try, but you vill fail. I am safe in zhis part of game.” He chose to Fight and she responded, “I vould if I vas still stronger zhan you, but if you made it here, you are indeed strong. I can see your intent like vhat you did to your own mozher.” He chose Hero as the last option and she responded, “You and I… vere not heroes… but Veruka and Rupert vill be. I know zhey vill hold zheir ground. Zhey vill stall you until our Trainers find a vay to shut down all of zhis… and zhen… your punishment vill be capital.” He then Exited the little cave as she said, “Good riddance, foul creature.”

Before he continued on, he thought about whom he would face later on, and the stuff Gerson sells in the game. Even though he beat this Route before as a regular gamer, this time he has to dodge attacks in real life, which will be a very different battle instead of just using his paws on a game controller. This will mean he’s inexperienced to the real FIGHTS he’s expecting, and there is one Defense Item Gerson sells for situations like that. He has an Attack Item for the same, but as a Pokémon he only Held one equip Item and he can use Jump Kick anyway, so Elizabeth won’t be happy to see him again.

He took off the Manly Bandanna, put it in the Box and went back inside to BUY and equip the Cloudy Glasses. It cost 55 Gold and it was a Defense Item at 5, but it gave him a longer time of Invulnerability after getting hit. Afterwards, he took the pathway straight across from Gerson’s Shop and just found a little land next to a river which could go left or fight somewhere or coming from. He turned back and walked past the Box next to Gerson’s Shop and found a scripture he just ignored. He continued past another which had 2 Echo Flowers behind it to walk across a small waterfall to another scripture with 4 Echo Flowers behind and walked across one more tiny waterfall to pass 6 more Echo Flowers: 3 on his left and right.

He then noticed the ground outside the path was completely black, except for a new glowing trail of grass. It was to his right in the black ground and it glowed the same color as the patch of mushrooms he followed the trail to. He touched the mushrooms and a new trail lead him to another patch of mushrooms. He continued to do this as he looked around and saw the same glow in the trees around. He kept using mushrooms to follow the grass until he remembered there is one corner where he is supposed to turn the other way. It was the corner farthest from his start and came to a regular pathway which turned left to a sign that said ‘hOI!! Welcome to… TEM VILLAGE!!!’

Next to the sign was a painting of a Shiny Buizel and a Gyarados behind it with an engraving below it reading ‘Rich history of Tem.’ He already figured out who would portray Temmie, so he walked on to find a twinkle for him to save his progress.

(Determination) LV 56, Waterall – Temmie Village

Right next to it was a Box and 2 signs next a little tunnel with a sign that just said ‘!’ above. The sign to his left said ‘hOI!! U shud check out… TEM SHOP!!!’ The sign to his right said ‘yaYA!! i AGREES!! shud check… TEM SHOP!!!’ Further to his right was a statue of a Shiny Buizel with the large engraving below reading ‘TEM’ and further right he was sure he could see a Shiny Buizel hiding within a large hole in the wall behind the statue. He went in the little tunnel and expected a Shiny Buizel he personally knew.

It was indeed Shantal the Buizel using a cardboard box as a counter that said ‘TEM SHOP’ on it and a teacup next to her as she greeted him with ‘hOI! welcom to… da TEM SHOP!!!’ He didn’t want to BUY or SELL anything, so he just chose to TALK. “HOI!!! im temmie,” she responded as she gave 4 options to TALK: Say Hello, About Yourself, Temmie History and About Shop. There was also a 5th choice to Exit, but he saved that for last. He chose About Yourself first and she responded with ‘hOI!!! I’m temmie.’ He chose Temmie History and she responded with ‘us tems hav a DEEP HISTORY!!!’ He had a feeling the rest of the options would be just as short, so he chose Exit and decided to head out while she responded with ‘bOI!!’ He was somewhat relieved she obviously hasn’t heard what’s going on.

He left the Village and went back to where he turned on the grass trail before. Unfortunately, the grass had no glow when he came back, but the mushrooms did sort of. He went to the closest patch and touched them, but they didn’t make any grass glow. He did find another patch of mushrooms, but there was a force he couldn’t see blocking them. He tried one more patch of mushrooms he could see from afar, and thankfully they helped him head back to the start. He used the first mushrooms and found another trail as a shortcut to another path away from Temmie Village.

He came to a lamp next to a scripture which brightened up the grass glowing. He continued to follow the trail below, but he noticed the glow was slowly disappearing. The more it got dark, the more clearly he could some gems glowing purple, but they were no help with the trail as far as he could see. The gems glowed on and off by themselves, and he did make to another lamp before the glow was gone. He continued to the next part of the trail and got to another lamp, but making it to the next became difficult. Soon it got completely dark and the gems didn’t glow at all. He had to walk at random for a little bit, but then he found a lamp, and it happened to be the last one he needed to follow the last of the trail.

He came into some shallow water, but then reached land and walked on until it got dark and he could barely see an Echo Flower nearby. He went to it and checked what it would say. “Behind you,” was heard in a certain Infernape’s voice. He looked behind him and the area suddenly brightened up to show an armored figure standing where she could block him from escaping.

She took a few steps towards him and took off her helmet so he could clearly see who portrayed Undyne, although he didn’t remember her taking off her helmet this soon in the game. “All those lives… all those innocent who you turned to dust… even your own mother… and Vincent… my… Vincent…” she made a tear and kept herself from making more, “If he was here… he’d say you still have a chance to stop… but you don’t deserve mercy… I will give back the pain and suffering we’ve endured.” She made a stance and created a spear she was ready to use, “Sorry Rupert… he’s mine.” She almost triggered a FIGHT encounter, but then Watson came out of the grass nearby and blocked her from attacking him, “WAIT!! VERUKA NOT YET!!” She gave a small look of guilt since she remembered punching him in the eye. “It’s just a game, remember? When he’s done, everyone will come back. And besides, if you beat him he’ll just try a-” she then grabbed his ear like an angry mother and took him away. “You need to know what’s really going on,” she said as he yelped in pain the whole time.

With both Veruka and Watson gone, he waited a few seconds and walked in their direction until he noticed a different trail of glowing grass to his right, just after he entered the water again. He took the path and found a lot of Echo Flowers both in and out of the water. Most of this new path was in water again, which had 5 of them. He checked one to see if Veruka and Watson were in this area, but they were all strangely silent. He kept on walking until there was a turn in the pathway which had a scripture and decided to read, ‘However… There is a prophecy. The Angel… The One Who Has Seen The Surface… They will return. And the underground will go empty.’ He just giggled and realized there are 2 meanings to this. He turned right and got back on ground to find a twinkle and save his progress.

(Determination) LV 56

He noticed it didn’t say ‘Waterfall – Somewhere’ this time. He knew the FIGHT is going to come soon, and he was ready. He continued and came to a bridge which he crossed and almost reached the other side. Before he could though, a loud ‘YO!’ stopped him in his tracks. He turned around and saw Watson coming. He was hesitant coming to him and he figured she was his reason, “Yo… Veruka said to stay away from you. She said you… you know what’ll happen at the end… but…” Watson really shivered at this point, “C’mon Sherb, that’s not true, right? We’ll all be okay… won’t we?” He faced away from Watson as he laughed, “Dude it’s not funny! Everyone will really die!!” He laughed harder and showed Watson the full intent in his eyes, “Sherbet… please…” he creped to Watson who barely took a few steps back. He made a few tears as finally knew like Veruka and Rupert. He even felt his heart pounding right out of his chest, just like his character at this point. “Y-y-you better stop… i-if you wanna kill anymore…” he took a shaky stance for battle, “Y-YOU’LL HAVE TO KILL ME TOO!!

The FIGHT encounter was triggered. Watson was still shaking and crying with the text below him reading ‘In my way.’ He did the Act option first to Check and he read ‘MONSTER KID 2 ATK 2 DEF, Looks like free EXP.’ Even the text was shaky and Watson couldn’t even respond. He then chose the Fight option and used Jump Kick with pleasure.

A flash of light came as soon as he attacked, but when the flash ended, it wasn’t Watson who was struck. He watched her drop straight to 0 HP, which was just what he expected. “VERUKA!!” Watson yelled in horror. “I’ll take care of this! Just go!” Veruka said for his safety. Watson hesitated, but he ran off and now it was just Veruka and the Buneary who caused all of this to happen. “Damn it… in just one hit… how could…” She was starting to disintegrate, but she was still holding on, “…No… NO!” Somehow she was getting less disintegrated, “…There’s a burning feeling that WON’T let me die! I don’t know why you’re doing this! I know I can’t beat you, but I don’t need to! Lisa and Ina are hacking the game right now! If I stall you, they can figure out what to do! I’m not even the strongest Boss, am I?!” She continued to hold on as she slowly disintegrated once more, “Sherbet… no… whatever you’ve become… for the sake of everyone… for everything… I, WHO YOU CALL UNDYNE THE UNDYING, WILL STRIKE YOU DOWN!!!”

Veruka almost vanished into dust, but with another flash of light, she came back with newer, better, stronger armor. The spear she made was on fire, and even the fire on her head as an Infernape expanded down her spine to cover her tail. She looked more Determined than she ever did, “As she would say, ‘you’re gonna have to try a little harder than THAT.’”

The text below her read ‘The heroine appears.’ He went to the Fight option and used Jump Kick to take out a little of her HP. She said nothing and attacked with light blue arrows that turned red when they were close to hitting him. Luckily, he turned from a red heart to a green heart, which meant he could use a special shield to protect him while he can’t move. He used it to block the first 3 arrows coming from in front, but a bunch more came from different directions, so he had to be quick to block them all, which he did. The finishing text read ‘The wind is howling…’
He used Jump Kick again and too little more HP again. She said nothing again and attacked with arrows that came from his left and right, which he still barely blocked all of. The finishing text read ‘The wind is howling…’
He used Jump Kick and got down over a 7th of her full HP and she attacked with slower, but more arrows which he only had a split second to block each. They came from every direction and he still barely blocked all of them. When they stopped coming, she turned him back into a red heart and the finishing text read ‘The wind is howling…’
He expected it to read this every time, so he made a note to just skip it from now on. He used Jump Kick to take a little HP and she attacked with white arrows that appeared all over the place and came right for him. He was finding it harder and harder to dodge them all, but he still managed to and he skipped the finishing text.
He used Jump Kick and got down another 7th of her full HP. She attacked by shrinking the battlefield surrounding him and using white spears from behind to attack him from 3 points. He had to be careful which direction he dodged, but luckily for her, she was able to get him once and take 12 HP. She almost got him again, but thanks to the Cloudy Glasses, he had a longer time to be Invulnerable. When she was done, she turned him back to green from red.
He became grateful his LV adjusted to leveling up as a Pokémon, so he counted how much he still had: 148 HP, and used Jump Kick once again. He took a little more HP and she attacked with arrows which attacked with fast arrows on the left and right and slow arrows in front and behind. He got hit by one and lost 12 HP; the Cloudy Glasses prevented 24.
He used Jump Kick and took more HP before she attacked with speedy arrows in front and distracting arrows on his left and right. He got hit by 2 and lost 24; the Glasses prevented 36.
He used Jump Kick again and got down another 7th of her full HP. She attacked with arrows coming left and in front, but this time she also used yellow arrows which came from left and in front, but they switched sides and attacked from right and behind. He remembered those arrows from the game and blocked them all fairly easy. Afterwards, she turned him back to red from green and he didn’t use the Fight option.
This time he did the Item option and ate one of his Cinnamon Buns which Healed 22 HP. She then attacked with white spears, which appeared in a circle surrounding him, and he had to dodge every spear which attacked together in a wheel pattern so it’s easy to get hit if he made a mistake. He made a few and lost 24 HP for them.
He used Jump Kick again and she attacked the same way as before, but now he only lost 12 HP and she turned him back to green from red. Before he attacked, he checked how much HP he still had left, which was 98. He knew Veruka would be this much a challenge, but with how much HP he has compared to the game, he had a good feeling for his first FIGHT against her.
He used Jump Kick and took another 7th of her HP, taking more than half her HP altogether. This time she attacked with mostly yellow and some light-blue arrows which he couldn’t read the pattern to so easily. He got hit by 3 of them and lost 36 HP; the Glasses prevented 60.
He used the Item option and ate the Abandoned Quiche which Healed 34 HP. She attacked with light-blue arrows and a yellow arrow for every 4th that came at him. The yellow arrows came from behind and in front, but the light-blue arrows came from every direction. He got hit by 2 and lost 24 HP; the Glasses prevented 48.
He went back to using Jump Kick and took a little of her HP. She attacked with arrows which switched back and forth from light-blue to yellow from any direction. This wasn’t so hard to block, but he still lost 12 HP and he counted how many Healing Items he still had left: 5 Cinnamon Buns and 1 Astro Food.
He used Jump Kick again and took out a little more HP. She attacked with light-blue arrows which were really slow, but there were a lot of them coming at once, so he had to be quick on his blocking. He got them all except one and lost 12 HP.
He used a Cinnamon Bun and Healed 22 HP after she turned him back to red from green. She attacked with white arrows which surrounded him in a circle, but instead of circling as they attacked, they went straight for him and there was a lot more to dodge this time. He did figure out a pattern to follow in order to dodge them, but he still lost 12 HP; the Glasses prevented 24.
He used another Cinnamon Bun and Healed 22 HP again. She attacked with white arrows which attacked in a wheel pattern like before and he lost 12 HP again. He counted his remaining HP before using Jump Kick, which was at 68.
He attacked and got another 7th of her remaining HP, which meant she only had 2/7 left and he had 68/160 left, meaning he’s winning this. She attacked with white arrows that came from any direction. Compared to the others, these were pretty easy to dodge, and he did so with ease.
He used Jump Kick and took a little HP before she attacked with shrinking the field he’s in and he had to dodge 3 spears which came behind from 3 points. It was much easier to dodge them and he made it without one hit.
He used Jump Kick again and took out a little more of her HP. She attacked with the surrounding white spears which came straight for him. Despite the pattern he found to dodge them all, he still lost 12 HP; the Glasses prevented 24.
He used Jump Kick and got her down to the last 7th of her full HP. She attacked with white spears in a wheel pattern and this time he barely managed to dodge all of them.
He used Jump Kick and got her down to low HP. He was close to beating her and could feel the joy of his power, not necessarily against Veruka. She attacked with spears that came from everywhere, and he almost dodged them all but he got too confident and lost 12 HP.
He used Jump Kick and got her down to just needing one more hit. She attacked by shrinking the field and using spears so he had to dodge from 3 points like before. He dodged them all and finally used Jump Kick just one more time.

“…Damn it…” Veruka said in defeat, “You really know this game… I couldn’t overcome you even once…” she was starting to melt and disintegrate at the same time. He watched in satisfaction as she’ll be gone in just a few moments, or so he thought. “…NO!” Veruka yelled. She was still melting, but she got less disintegrated and her Infernape fire was starting to spread on her, “IF THIS IS WHERE I DIE, I’LL DIE STALLING JUST A LITTLE MORE! I SWEAR I’LL NEVER STOP!!” She turned him back to green from red and the text below her read ‘Undyne looks determined.’ He didn’t expect this, but he remembered it from the game and no longer worried about losing. He used the Astro Food to Heal 21 HP and she responded with “C’MON! I CAN STILL FIGHT!!” She attacked with light-blue arrows that came from every direction and he blocked all of them. The finishing text read ‘Undyne’s body is wavering.’ He attacked, but not with Jump Kick this time. He already knew he won, so he just gave her a regular punch with his Buneary paw. She responded with ‘I’m strong as long as I believe in myself!” and attacked with slower and less arrows than before. He easily blocked all of them and the finishing text read ‘Undyne’s body is losing its shape.’ He punched her again and got a little of her liquid flesh on him. The more she stalled, the meltier her body got and her flame soon spread all over her. She responded to his punch with ‘I said that first, but Vincent said it best.’ She attacked with even slower and less spears, and he blocked them all with ease. The finishing text read ‘Undyne’s body…” and he punched her one more time before the fire could burn him. She responded with ‘…Just a… little more…’ and attacked with slow arrows that only came from his left and right, which he blocked of course. The finishing text only read ‘…’ and he didn’t bother to use the Fight option. This time, he used the Act option to Check and the text read ‘UNDYNE 7 ATK -15 DEF. The heroine that NEVER gives up.’  She didn’t really respond and attacked with 3 slow arrows which he blocked in front of him.

Instead of a finishing text, she gave him her final words as her own fire was burning her melted flesh. She laughed a little at what she almost forgot, “…Rupert was watching the whole time… and since he’s the final Boss… he’ll stall you way better than me…he’s your father after all…” She started to disintegrate again, “…Rupert… in case we fail…” she cried as she was almost a flaming puddle of dusty liquid at this point, “…I DID LOVE VINCENT!!”
He earned no Gold, but reached LV 72.

He made to the end of the bridge and continued his path. He crossed over a smaller bridge and made to a twinkle to save his progress and heal up.
